Β The "Suite for Georgios Demertzis" was created after the encouragement of the Greek violinist towards the composition of a work for solo violin. The mention of G. Demertzis name on the title is not a mere dedication, as his strong and continuous support has constituted a decisive factor not only towards the creation of this work, but also to the general compositional development of the composer. The Suite was completed on May 9th 2003. Its premier took place on the island of Crete in August 2003 by G. Demertzis.
Performers are given the freedom to alter indications of tempi and/or dynamics, using good judgement, in order to consciously structure their personal performance approach.
