The musical text that follows is a transcription for four-string double bass.
The bowing is as written in the manuscripts of Anna Magdalena Bach, second wife of the composer.
When trying out several transcriptions, I have not attempted to interpret the bows differently, in order to preserve the text as close to the original form as possible.
The dense notation has a rather educational character and aims at providing young students with a starting idea for the endless process of the study of J. S. Bach.
